P. 19

I can’t imagine how or where your promise will come to be But day by day I’ll bend my mind to journey faithfully.
The people here don’t comprehend, don’t hear what you’ve said They say I’ve got no son and heir, and will likely end up dead
All the same, I’m not like them, and I rely on you
For years I’ve prayed and now I see life changing’s what you do
So I will bear a mighty name, and hope will lead me on An Abrahamic nation, born from conviction
I’ll worship you and praise your name, your holiness: my light Don’t know how far you’ll have me go till I complete my flight
But I have grown my faith in you, I know you as my Lord
I’ll walk the path you’ve drawn for me, and not be over-awed
I’ll place my life into your hands, you’ll be my law and guide I’ll live in your self-keeping, the refuge where I’ll hide
To you alone I’ll pledge my life, and the nation you have planned Until at last you take me home and by your side I’ll stand.
