Family and Friends - Noah
On the first day of our week of prayer and fasting we thought about and prayed for our immediate friends and family - the people nearest and dearest to us, the people we have made out lives with and care about, or that we know best. This prompted me to want to write about a strong, biblical family man - and, although there were quite a number of candidates, I chose Noah.
Noah was a family man - he had faith in God, and God saved him, his wife, his sons and their wives. His faithfulness was of great benefit to his family, and he became part of the line of succession that leads, through David, to Jesus - because everyone can trace their line back to Noah and the flood!
Genesis 6 - 18-19
But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark —you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.
