London to Winchester

This is a much more interesting trip than the straight dash down the motorway system . . . and it’s
only about 20 minutes longer in drive time.

Navigation notes
Routes 1 and 7 on the map
Starting from the M25 it’s a trip of 44 miles to Winchester, about an hour or a little less in normal
traffic conditions.
You take the M3 to just past Basingstoke, and the A272 in to Winchester.
From Winchester to Salisbury, if you take my suggested route on the A30, is 25 miles and a bit
less than an hour.
