In Penzance make your way to the A30 eastwards.
0.0 50.1266,-5.5244 At the r/bout take the exit s/posted “Redruth A30 / Helston (A394)”.
1.6 mi 50.1344,-5.4905 At Newtown r/bout take the 3rd exit on to the A394 following a sign to
“Helston A394”
11.1 mi 50.0969 -5.2700 Follow the A394 around Helston following signs to Falmouth.
If you want to go to the real southernmost point in Britain then take the A3083 from Helston 10
miles to The Lizard. It’s on a stunning stretch of coast with soaring cliffs and pinnacles of
rocks. On the southern edge of Helston you will drive along Meneage Rd. A t the end of the road
is a small r/bout – the A394 goes to the left, but take the 3rd exit s/posted “Lizard 10”.
Expert Navigator checkpoint: Shortly after taking the A3083 you will pass the Royal Navy
airbase HMS Seahawk.

If you wish to visit the Poldark Tin Mine: 1.3 mi past the centre of Helston look for a brown and
white sign “Poldark Tin Mine” at the second of two small flush r/bouts.
Expert Navigator tip: There’s a Texaco Service Station on the r. just before the first of those
r/bouts.
