THE ENEMY IN-A-ME

                Chapter 4
                DENYING SELF

Now with a silent prayer to your Father In Heaven, ask that a realization and a
better understanding may come to you of the thoughts and purposes He

has for you. For it will surely come and He will cause every illusion in time to
disappear, and you shall in Truth Know Him.

                Beloved Father;

Draw me deep within the Kingdom where you dwell, where self exist not
and where I may become one with thee. Cleanse me of self that has lured
me on by feeding me with its unsatisfying sense pleasures, its mental
dissipation and emotional delights and of separation from you so that my

Lord Jesus Christ may live His Life in me, do His Will in me, and be His Self in
me without hindrance of any kind for evermore.

Begin to cause every illusion that self has created to disappear that I may in
Truth know you. Wash me and make me pure of self , the sin nature that is in
man whom I have kept alive by giving it the power to entice and deceive me
with its purely self ish pride and ambitions and imagined power, its love of
life, possessions, of being thought wise or good, and thinks it is a god but is
                nothing.

Make me to abide in Your Word and Your Word to abide in me, giving me
ever of Your Wisdom to light and direct my way; Your Will to strengthen and
sustain me and Your Love to surround, protect and ll me; so that I may see
You, may feel You, may know You, and be truly one with You, everywhere and
                in everything.

Allow me to come to the realization that I am nothing, and can do nothing
without losing all consciousness of self and the part it has in my acts. That I
may know that it is vain and fruitless and will end only in failure,
                disappointment and humiliation.

                                                    Christ is the Healer
