OPERATIONAL DEFINITION

Percentage of local students (excluding postgraduate students and those taking compulsory service
courses) who conduct their businesses while studying (internally or on-line).
Note: Businesses are not necessarily registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia
(SSM) but have proof of business registration with CEDI.

Calculation formula = (HEI students who conduct their businesses while studying)/[Number of full-
time HEI students who are Malaysian citizens (excluding postgraduate students) and who are taking
compulsory service courses) in the current year] x 100 325
