                    OPERATIONAL DEFINITION


                    This  is  the  full-time  equivalent  (FTE)    postgraduate  students  who  are  studying  for  higher
                    education programmes such as master’s, doctoral or other equivalent degrees or components of
                    those  programmes,  but  NOT  postdoctoral  students.This  includes  significant  programmes  only
                    which typically takes three or more years in length. It includes visiting/exchange students who are
                    studying for programmes that result in credits at the institution (i.e, incoming students). It does
     50             not  include  exchange  students  who  are  currently  studying  at  another  institution  (i.e.,  outgoing
                    exchange  students,  who  are  not  currently  studying  for  credits  at  the  university).  It  includes
                    students on placements.It does NOT include students who are not currently active.
