               In-field and on the job training continued at Kurhula this report period. With the challenges of a global pandemic
               and pest infestations over this time, valuable crisis and adaptive management skills were a key focus. There was a
               continued commitment of the community staff members to learn and understand the challenges of agriculture. The
               net result of a successful harvest and a wealth of experience gained by the Kurhula team.

               Due to covid restrictions no conservation and environmental educational awareness field trips for children were
               conducted on Karingani.

               Eunice Nyathi, daughter of Karingani Community Ambassador Jonas Mongoé and a youth of the Cubo community
               currently is in the second year of her four-year diploma in Tourism at the University of Johannesburg sponsored by
               the Janse van Rensburg and Milton families. Despite the restrictions of COVID, she has managed to maintain her
               progress and commitment with her studies through online attendance. Eunice is expected to finish by 2023 and she
               will be a welcome addition to the Karingani tourism team.

               This report period another Cubo community youth member has been incorporated into the Karingani higher-
               education sponsorship program. Joseph Cubai, is being financially supported with his informatics studies at the
               Eduard Mondlane University in Maputo. Also in his second year of a four-year qualification. During his study leave
               he also joins the Kurhula team part-time for valuable income and work experience and hopes to add his training and
               skills to the Karingani team when his studies are complete.


                             With 108 days of predator boma use over the past report period, valuable exposure to husbandry
                             and wildlife management continued for the locally employed staff of Karingani’s operational and
                             conservation teams.


                             Continuing with the goal to up-skill employees, an additional two drivers licenses training
                             incentives were implemented this report period.
