KPI 6 | ADULT SURVIVAL RATE

Baseline data collection continued this report period across all local clinics and health institutions within the
surrounding communities. Collation of this data will be critical in the planning and interpretation phase of the
proposed community census program in upcoming report periods.

KPI 7 | COMMUNITY WATER PROVISION

Part of the installation of water systems in our neighbouring communities is the longterm maintenance and upkeep
of the existing infrastructure to ensure lasting benefits and use.
MAPULANGUENE

July 2020 Urgent assistance of water delivered to the community by tanker.

August 2020 New borehole pump with fencing and piping was constructed in Mapulanguene B2
community.
September 2020 Cattle water trough with fencing and relevant piping constructed in Mapulanguene
B1 community.

MATSANDZNE

September 2020 New pipe connections installed to existing water system. Maintenance and repairs
made.
November 2020 Cement casing at cattle trough constructed and additional piping installed.

RINGANI

September 2020 A fence to protect the community water system was erected.

NHANDLOPFU

September 2020 A fence was built at the existing water pump (74m). Repairs, pipe fittings, etc. also
done at same time.

MBECANA

July 2020 The exiting Mbecana cattle trough was maintained with pipe fittings and new pipes.

September 2020 A reservoir was constructed in Mbecana community with a fence.

November 2020 Maintenance of the Mbecana water supply was done – pipe fittings and new pipe.
