The night was cold and the small sparks of flame the twins had tried to light did nothing to

protect them from the icy wind. Though she was tired, Audrey couldn’t sleep, her mind was

reeling as she tried to make sense of everything that had happened. An owl’s cry startled her

from her thoughts and sighing, she wrapped the thin cloth tighter around her and John and tried

to fall asleep.

The captain sat in his throne and rubbed his head listening to his advisors talk. “We need to find

those children now1” he suddenly said and the room went quiet.

“But why?” one timid one asked.

The captain’s eyes blazed through the man and he shrunk back. “Why do you ask. Why?

BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!” his roar shook the fort and silenced everyone. Taking deep breaths he

sighed and said “now does anyone have an idea?”

The twins lived on the run for 5 years dodging the guards and towns folk that were out to get

them. Until finally they were caught…

three o’clock. That day was quite cloudy and there was a little bit of rain.
