Chapter 1

The Dark Cave

The night was dark and all I could see was a blinking light a few

metres away. As I get closer, I see that it is the shape of a ball. I

picked it up and the light stopped. The ball quivered and a button

appeared that was not there before. I clicked it and I felt a weird

feeling in my stomach. When I got back home I went up to my room

and threw up all over my floor. As I started to fall asleep the light

on the ball flickered back on and I disappeared out of my room.

The next thing I knew I was waking up in an entrance to a cave,

next to a campfire, as the sun was coming up. I got up off the hard,

dirt ground. I got pulled back into the cave faster than a bullet. I

got up again and swayed from side to side trying to keep myself

conscious. Once I stabilized myself, I turned around slowly and

tried to see in the darkness…there was no chance...it was too dark

and too scary. I tried walking forward but it was hopeless, I was

surrounded by walls. Then I heard a cracking noise and I fell into

darkness. I felt like I was on the ‘Wedgie’ ride at Wet and Wild, Gold

Coast, Australia.
