Division One South West
With Cardiff City Ladies on FA Cup duty, Exeter City took the opportunity to narrow
the gap on them to two points by beating Southampton Women 5-1. Sarah Stacey led
the scoring as she bagged a four-goal haul and Zoe Watkins was also on target, with
Shannon Sievwright replying.
AFC Bournemouth were unable to join Exeter as they were beaten 2-0 by
improving Keynsham Town. Both goals came in the final fifteen minutes of the match,
Mackenzie Ratstatter giving Keynsham the lead and Gemma McGuinness adding the
second five minutes later.
Moneyfields follow on after they defeated Larkhall Athletic 3-1. Roxanne Lee-
Stewart put the Moneys in front during the first half and they went on to add further goals
after the break through Ellie Kirby and Gemma Simmonds, before Sophie Price netted a
consolation for the Larks.
Selsey Women got back to winning ways with a 3-1 success away to AFC St
Austell. Amelia Hammond, Nicky Lake and Natasha Wild were all on target for the Seals,
with Lucy Solloway replying for the home side.
Maidenhead Utd are out of the bottom two for the first time this season, after
racing to a 5-1 victory over Portishead Town. Ellie Strippel did give Portishead an early
lead which was cancelled out by Natalie Cowell and after the break, Aleasha Lunn scored
twice and further goals came from Amy Saunders and Imogen Fisher.
Reserve Section round-up
Wolverhampton Wanderers booked their place in the semi finals of the Reserves
League Cup with a 1-0 win away to Northern Division leaders Durham Cestria. Hannah
Sparkes scored the only goal of the game on the hour for Wolves, whose semi final
opponents will be West Bromwich Albion, 2-0 winners at Stoke City thanks to Maia
Clark and Rameyah Farquharson.
Newcastle Utd complete the semi final line up in the Reserves League Plate
following their 3-1 success at Derby County. Jasmine McQuade, Georgina Spraggon and
Sophie Curle all scored a goal apiece for Newcastle, who will now be at home to
Loughborough Lightning, whilst Derby's consolation came from Isabel Sheridan.
Hull City caused something of a surprise in the Northern Division when they won
5-1 away to third placed Barnsley. Louise Dealtry-Todd, Amy Drury, Libby Gray, Lauren
Wentworth and Lucy McIntosh all scored for Hull, with Brooke Tully replying. Katie
Cannon netted twice and Mia Harris the other for Huddersfield Town as they beat
Bradford City 3-0 and Chorley won 3-1 against Liverpool Feds, courtesy of a Daisy
Mason brace and Freya Birley.
Nottingham Forest have gone eight points clear at the top of the Midland Division
after scoring nine times without reply past Long Eaton Utd. Summa Betts, Takiah
Burnett and Emily Jacobs all netted twice along with Jessica Waplington, Mia Chiarizia
and Isabella Hodson. Lily Moore and Indiana Totty were on target for Loughborough
Lightning as they shared a 2-2 draw with Sporting Khalsa and Stourbridge defeated
Doncaster Rovers Belles 3-0 thanks to Phillipa Butcher, Ruby Meeson and Megan
Bailey.
Milton Keynes Dons have gone level on points with South East & Central Division
leaders Oxford Utd after Milly Hayes, Gabriella Maia and Annaliese Jacovides gave them
a 3-1 victory over Watford. Hashtag Utd remain in third place despite being beaten 3-0
by Queen's Park Rangers, whose scorers were Lucy Bolitho, Dahlia Salah and Kelana
Walters-Wright. Keira Stewart netted for Enfield Town in their 1-1 draw against
