East Midlands League
Chesterfield remain two points off the pace in second place after being held to a 1-1 draw
by Oughtibridge WM. Amy Pashley was on target for the Spireites, with Oughtibridge
replying through Libby Hallam. Notts County moved up to fourth following their 4-1
victory away to Leicester City Ladies and Rotherham Utd defeated Rise Park 4-0
thanks to a goal apiece from Amelia Beckett, Rayanne Haywood, Lori-Anne Tart and
Madison Wilson.
For the second week running, one match was played in Division One North and it
again resulted in a 3-2 victory for St Josephs Rockware of Worksop, this time against
Sleaford Town. Beth Gingell, Chloe Mitchell and Brooke Chapell all scored for fourth
placed St Josephs, with Sleaford's replies coming from Jade Baker and Alice Hayes.
Division One South leaders Derby County Academy did not play on Sunday and
their advantage has been trimmed to nine points by Anstey Nomads after they won 4-2 at
Nottingham Forest Development. Carmelina Colangelo, Megan Kenney, Simran Singh
and Ella Wortley all scored a goal apiece for Anstey, with Molly Towers and Jessica Shaw.
Oadby & Wigston meanwhile lost ground as they were beaten 2-0 by Thrapston Town,
who scored through Sophie Warren and Hannah Warren. Hannah Phillip, Katie Stone and
Hayley Walden scored the goals for Loughborough Foxes Vixens in their 3-2 success
away to Coalville Town Ravenettes, whilst a Jade Eaglefield double earned Ilkeston
Town a 2-2 draw against Kettering Town.
Eastern Region League
Wymondham Town have been crowned as League Champions without playing on
Sunday, after second placed Royston Town were beaten 1-0 by Wroxham. Grace Birchall
scored the only goal of the game to take Wroxham into a mid-table position and end the
hopes of Royston, who had been the only remaining team which could still catch
Wymondham's present points total.
The race is also over in Division One North as Needham Market clinched the title
with a 2-1 win away to second placed Newmarket Town. Needham went into the game
needing a victory to put themselves in an unassailable position and they achieved this with
goals from Mia Etheridge and Lina Nagib, with Jess Linger replying. Kayleigh Gray, Megan
Molloy, Charlene Moreton and Rianne Townsend-Brown were all on the scoresheet as third
placed Biggleswade Utd won 4-1 at Whittlesey Athletic.
The top of the table clash in Division One South ended in a 2-2 draw between Herts
Vipers Women and Cheshunt. Natalie Powell and Kelsey Millen scored the goals for the
Vipers, who stay one point ahead of their opponents at the top. AFC Sudbury made up
ground in third by winning 4-1 at Leigh Ramblers thanks to Georgia Sleep (2), Jessica
Allen and Tyeonae Smith. Ammarah Ali and Laura Bunton each scored hat-tricks, along
with a Sarah Finch double, as Barking defeated Billericay Town Development 8-0 and
the match between Hutton and East Bergholt Utd finished goalless.
Colney Heath went through to the quarter finals of the League Cup after they won
1-0 against Bedford Ladies with a goal from Sasha Manders. Chelsea Jeffrey, Gemma
Whitchurch, Emily Wilson and Emily Rawlinson were all on the scoresheet as AFC
Dunstable also reached the last eight by beating St Ives Town.
London & South East League
Dartford, second in the Premier Division table, are through to the semi finals of the League
Cup after a goal from Paris Smith gave them a 1-0 victory away to Worthing FC Women.
Joining them in the last four are New London Lionesses, who won 2-1 at Dorking
