FA Women’s National League

       Northern Premier Division
League leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers saw their
winning run brought to a halt as they battled out a 2-2
draw with Burnley FC Women. Tammi George and
Lauren Riley scored the goals for Wolves who hang on to their unbeaten record whilst Burnley, who
remain in mid-table, scored through a brace from Millie Ravening.
Fylde Women are back up into second, four points behind Wolves but with a game in
hand, after they defeated Sheffield FC 4-1. Emily Hollinshead hit a hat-trick for the Coasters
inside the opening 21 minutes and after Brooke Smith pulled one back just before the hour, Beth
Donoghue rounded off the scoring for Fylde late on.
The result takes Fylde above Derby County on goal difference as the Ewe Rams were
held to a goalless draw by West Bromwich Albion, who notched up their second 0-0 scoreline
       in as many matches.
Nottingham Forest got back to winning ways with a 3-2 success against
Middlesbrough. Rachel Brown was the heroine for Forest as she bagged a hat-trick, whilst Elysia
Boddy and Felicity Jones replied for 'Boro.
Brighouse Town continue to hold on to a top half place, courtesy of a 2-1 victory over
Loughborough Lightning. Leah Embley and Ellie White were on target for Brighouse, whilst
Loughborough's consolation came from Chloe Young.
Stoke City ran out 4-1 winners away to Hull City to move themselves closer towards
mid-table. Callan Barber, Roisin Kivel, Nuala Miszkiel and Alison Hall all scored a goal apiece for
       Stoke.
       Southern Premier Division
Ipswich Town have gone six points clear at the top after winning 1-0 against Bridgwater Utd.
With Southampton FC Women not having a game due to international call-ups, Ipswich took
on third placed Bridgwater and were pushed all the way by the Somerset side until substitute
Natasha Thomas scored a late winner.
A victory would have taken Crawley Wasps back into the top three but instead they went
down to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Keynsham Town. Lily Withers gave Keynsham an early lead
and after Emma Plewa levelled the scores after the break, Corinne Yorston put Keynsham back in
front a minute later. The game remained in the balance until injury time, when Henna Butcher
sealed three valuable points for her side with the third goal.
Portsmouth climbed into the top four on the back of a 3-0 victory over Hounslow
Women. Shannon Albuery and Hayley Bridge put Pompey two goals ahead at the break, with Jade
Widdows adding the final goal early in the second half.
Gillingham continue to do well and recorded their sixth win of the season, 2-1 away to
Milton Keynes Dons. Kara Fordjour scored a second half winner for the Gills to add to Amy
Haynes' earlier strike, whilst the Dons' consolation came from Tricia Gould.
Oxford Utd could move into the top three if they won their games in hand and kept
themselves in touch with the teams above them, thanks to a 5-1 success against London Bees.
Rachel Panting was on target twice for the U's along with Daisy McLachlan, Carly Johns and Sophie
Baker, Lauren Heria replying for the Bees.
       Reserve Section round-up...

to four points by Huddersfield Town after they won 9-1 away to Barnsley. Sharone Buckle and
Falone Sumaili each hit hat-tricks for Town, whose other goals came from Tara Duce, Sian Gibrill-
Keating and Lois Scholefield. Brighouse Town are a further point adrift in third, they ran out 6-0
winners over Liverpool Feds thanks to Molly Havard (2), Imogen Porteous-Williams (2), Danielle
