Northern Premier Division
Burnley FC Women produced a superb result in
winning 3-1 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers,
which sees them open up a lead of three points at the
top of the table. Evie Priestley netted twice in the second half to seal the points and add to Ella
Kinzett's early goal, whilst Wolves' consolation came from Alisha Miller.
Huddersfield Town now complete the top three following their 2-0 victory over
Liverpool Feds. Laura Elford gave Town the lead during the first half and Kate Mallin
wrapped up the win with the second goal, six minutes from time.
Stoke City follow on after battling out a 2-2 draw with Fylde Women. After Beth
Roberts had put Stoke in front, the Coasters hit back to lead at the interval thanks to Amy
Hughes and Alex Taylor. Naomi Bedeau levelled the scores after the break and the sides had to
share the points, Fylde's third draw of the season whilst Stoke extended their unbeaten run to
four games.
The spoils were also shared at West Bromwich Albion where the home side finished
level at 1-1 with Brighouse Town. Evie Gallop was on target for Albion, whilst Brighouse
scored through Drew Greene.
Loughborough Lightning and Boldmere St Michaels meanwhile met each other
with both teams looking to get off the mark for the season. In the end it was the Mikes who ran
out 2-0 winners, Alex Liddiard putting them in front after eight minutes and Jessica Keeling
netted the second after the break.
Southern Premier Division
Oxford Utd saw their lead trimmed to a single point after they shared a 1-1 draw with third
placed Watford. Megan Chandler gave Watford the lead after six minutes and they held on
until well into injury time, when Leah Burridge salvaged a point with an equaliser for the U's.
Portsmouth narrowed the gap on Oxford by running out 5-0 winners over Billericay
Town. Emma Jones led the scoring for Pompey with a hat-trick, and also on target were Taylor
MacDonald and Danielle Lane.
London Bees' hopes of staying in the top three took a blow as they were beaten by
Cheltenham Town, who ended a run of three straight defeats with a 4-2 victory. Kylie Nolan,
Amy Wathan, Henna Butcher and Izzy Cook all scored a goal apiece for Cheltenham, whilst
Lisa Milliken notched a consolation along with an own goal.
Ipswich Town meanwhile claimed a third successive victory, 3-0 against Crawley
Wasps. Freya Godfrey, Bonnie Horwood and Natasha Thomas were all on the scoresheet for
the fast improving Tractor Girls.
Honours were even at Fairfax Park where Bridgwater Utd and Milton Keynes Dons
battled out a 1-1 draw. Ellie Sara was on target for Bridgwater, whilst the Dons netted through
Mollie Coupar.
Plymouth Argyle are another team starting to pick up as they won for the second
match in a row, 2-1 against Gillingham. The Gills started the game well and took the lead just
before half time through Kara Fordjour, but in the second half, Argyle turned the match around
and goals from Lily Greenslade and Beth Ireland gave them a result which takes them into
mid-table.
Division One North
Leaders Barnsley saw their unbeaten run come to an end as they were beaten 1-0 by
Stockport County. Ella Ritchie scored the only goal of the game, in the thirteenth minute, to
