Defeat for Barnsley means that Newcastle Utd have drawn level on points with them,
by winning 1-0 away to Norton & Stockton Ancients. Ellie Dobson's goal was not quite
enough to take the Magpies top on goal difference, whilst Norton's loss means that both of the
last remaining unbeaten records in the division have now gone.
Leeds Utd meanwhile won 2-1 away to Bradford City and this has moved them to
within a single point of the top two. Laura Bartup scored a goal in each half to take Leeds into
a challenging position, whilst Bradford's consolation came from Emma Elliot.
Durham Cestria follow on after they ran out 3-0 winners over Middlesbrough, the
only home victory in the division on the day. All three goals came during the first half, an own
goal giving the Wildcats a seventh minute lead before they added further goals through Erin
Nicholson and Poppy Pritchard.
York City continue to do well in their first season in the league and on Sunday they won
4-2 away to Chorley. Alice Hughes, Milly Ash, Felicity Jones and Nichola Brown were all on
target for York, with Jessica Gillin and Ellie Cleary replying.
After picking up their first point of the season last week, Merseyrail Ladies doubled
their tally when they shared a goalless draw with Hull City.
Division One Midlands
Stourbridge maintained their two point lead at the top of the table with an impressive 3-0
win away to Doncaster Rovers Belles. The Glassgirls led at half time through a goal from
Megan Hadley, before adding further goals after the break from Alex Nicklin and Lili Beth Bown.
A 2-1 victory at Lincoln City has kept Solihull Moors in second place. Ellie Bruton
and Zoe Creaney scored the goals to hand Moors a fourth win of the season, whilst the Lady
Imps' consolation came from Eden Pedersen.
Leafield Athletic and Peterborough Utd remain in third and fourth place
respectively after their meeting culminated in a goalless draw.
Sporting Khalsa have moved into the top half of the table on the back of a 2-1 success
away to Sheffield FC. Olivia Woolston and Stacey Garnham were the markswomen for
Khalsa to give them the points, despite the home side pulling a goal back late on through
Matilda Potts.
Leek Town and Wem Town meanwhile battled out a 2-2 draw. Leek had led at half
time through goals from Chantelle Gallagher and Cassie Hyde, whilst Taylor Davis and Katie
Doster both scored to earn Wem an important point.
Northampton Town picked up their first National League win and are out of the
bottom three after scoring seven times without reply past Long Eaton Utd. Alex Dicks hit a
hat-trick to spearhead the victory, whilst Bianca Luttman (2), Mia Richards and Gracie
Williams joined her on the scoresheet.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd hold on to the leadership on goal difference after a first half goal from Grace
Gillard gave them a 1-0 victory away to Cambridge City.
Norwich City meanwhile ran out 7-0 winners over Hounslow Women, but the
margin of victory was not quite enough to take them above the Tags. Ellie Smith and Kathryn
Stanley each bagged doubles for the Canaries, with the others coming from Megan Todd, Olivia
Cook and Ella Gambell.
London Seaward stay three points off the pace in third after coming from behind to
win 2-1 against Queen's Park Rangers. Brogan Moore gave Rangers a first half lead but
midway through the second half, Suzanne Daniels levelled the scores and Samantha Lanza
grabbed a winner for Seaward deep into injury time.
Cambridge Utd scored seven times without reply past Chesham Utd and the result
lifts them up the table and into fourth place. Sarah Wiltshire and Francesca Partridge each
netted twice for the U's along with Ruth Fox, Gisela Otten and Alysha Stojko-Down.
Actonians Ladies notched up their first victory of the season, a 3-0 victory away to
Ashford Town (Middlesex). Maria Ledezma-Viso, Natsumi Kanno and Akane Miyoshi
