East Midlands League
Northampton Town went through to the quarter finals of League Cup after they won 5-1
away to Coalville Town Ravenettes. Georgia Tear put Northampton two goals ahead
during the first half and after Clair Dolman pulled one back for Coalville, Leah Cudone,
Bianca Luttman and Francesca Partridge all scored to take their side into the last eight. Anya
Bourne scored the only goal of the game as Derby County Academy defeated Sleaford
Town 1-0 and Chesterfield are the other team to progress following their 2-0 success
against Notts County Women, Eleanor Abercrombie and Gina Camfield netting their
goals.
The quarter final line up in the League Plate has also been confirmed, including
Oughtibridge WMSC who beat Leicester City Ladies 5-0. Millie Kenyon led the scoring
with a hat-trick and there was a goal apiece from Laura Cain and Emily Fowler. Brooke
Chapell and Ashleigh Galley were on the scoresheet for St Josephs Rockware of
Worksop as they won 2-0 against Lincoln Moorlands Railway, and Thrapston Town
edged out AFC Leicester by the odd goal in eleven. Amelia Boddington netted twice for
Thrapston along with Emma Robinson, Hannah Warren, Sophie Warren and Morgan Smart,
Ella Needham hit a hat-trick for AFC Leicester but ended up on the losing side, whilst Jade
Benford added the other two.
Eastern Region League
Challenge Cup Group C leaders Leigh Ramblers were beaten for the first time, going down
4-1 to Royston Town. Sammy Tinsley, with a double, Tally Miles and Charlotte South
scored the goals to take Royston up to third in the group table whilst Leigh, who remain three
points clear at the top, netted a consolation through Amber Denton. Haverhill Rovers
make up a trio of teams on six points and have a game in hand on Leigh, following their 2-1
success away to Stevenage Women Development. Jenna Wright and an own goal gave
Haverhill the points, with Sophie Davidson replying.
The other action in the league took place in Group D, where leaders Wymondham
Town won 3-1 away to Needham Market. Rebecca Russell, Laura Nicholls and Natasha
Youngs scored the goals to take Wymondham three points ahead at the top, whilst Needham's
reply came from Jodie Sharp.
London & South East League
Group A leaders Ashford Town (Middx) did not play on Sunday in the Spring Round
Robin and saw their lead trimmed to three points by Eastbourne Town, who were 5-3
winners away to Queen's Park Rangers. Shawna Harvey bagged a hat-trick for
Eastbourne, with Ella Newman contributing a brace, whilst Rangers responded with a goal
apiece from Melanie Hall, Kasha Petit and Tiffany Skinner. Dulwich Hamlet meanwhile
defeated Saltdean Utd 2-1 thanks to Ella Bonner and Saskia Philp, with Chloe Evans
replying. The result takes Dulwich into third place.
There has been a change of leadership in Group B with New London Lionesses
taking over at the top, courtesy of a 3-1 success at Denham Utd. Kendal Drake, Kiz Fergus
and Ariane Struckmeier accounted for the Lionesses' goals, Rachel Griffiths netting a
consolation for the home side. Hackney meanwhile claimed their first win in some style,
beating Fulham 4-1 with goals from Amy Nicholson, Lizzie Tucker, Kea Felix and Natalie
White.
In Group C, Sutton Utd went level on points with leaders Ashford Ladies after
beating Herne Bay 2-1 in the only match played. Faye Butler netted both goals for Sutton,
with Harriett Chapman replying.
The two teams at the top of Group D met each other and it was Crawley Wasps
