That tie hinged on key moments. Bentley’s, and also Division One’s, top scorer
Gemma Harte could have netted twice in the first half, but was forced into shooting wide
both times. In between times, Rotherham took control with Cheryl Mawhood (2) and Lucy
Ridley on the mark for a 3-0 interval score, though the mountain might have been even
higher had Mawhood not slotted wide from a great chance just before the break. Harte did
finally score several minutes into the second half and only adroit goalkeeping prevented
Bentley’s Jenna McGee from making it 3-2 and the proverbial “game on” almost
straightaway. Mawhood completed her own
