       Scotland 4 (Watson 6,66, Alvorado og 28, Weir 37)
       Costa Rica 0
       at Hampden Park
Scotland completed their double header of friendlies with another victory, this time an
emphatic one against Costa Rica at Hampden Park and a match that Emma Watson will
       never forget.
Pedro Martinez Losa made two changes to the starting 11 that played the 1-0 victory
over Australia last week, with Rachel McLauchlan and Lauren Davidson coming in to
replace Fiona Brown and Martha Thomas.
Prior to the game, Claire Emslie received her 50th cap to honour the milestone which
she reached in February against Wales.
Emma Watson opened the scoring with just six minutes on the clock. Caroline Weir
played a free kick into the box which was deflected by a Costa Rica player. Watson pounced
to get the rebound and squeezed it into the net for her first Scotland goal in only her second
       cap for her country.
Scotland doubled their lead in the 28th minute when Alvarado deflected in Caroline
Weir's corner, under pressure from Claire Emslie's near post run.
Captain Caroline Weir got herself a goal in the 37th minute when she received the ball
from Claire Emslie inside the box before skipping past the Costa Rica defence and slotting
the ball past the outcoming keeper, into the empty net.
Emma Watson scored her second goal of the game to make it four for the Scots.
Watson received the ball in the box where she took a few touches before turning and
dispatching a curling effort into the far corner with her weaker foot.
In the 83rd minute, double goalscorer Emma Watson was replaced by Fiona Brown,
marking the substitute’s 50th cap for her country.
A big 4-0 victory under the lights at Hampden with a number of players reaching
significant milestones in their international careers.
