Wales name Under-17 squad

       Loren Dykes has named a 24-player squad for Wales Under-17’s forthcoming double header against
       Scotland in north Wales.
           Wales’ first match against Scotland will take place at Denbigh Town on Tuesday 8th February
       (6pm), with the second match taking place four days later at Colliers Park on Friday 11th February
       (12pm).
           Seven players have been selected from the Genero Adran Leagues, whilst several other players
       are involved in the FAW Trust’s Academy system.
           The matches will prepare the side for their 2022 UEFA Womnen’s Under-17 Euros Qualifying
       Round 2 matches in March. Wales will face hosts Armenia, Turkey and Latvia in League B as they
       push for promotion ahead of next year’s competition.

       Female Flexi Football
       Thanks to funding secured from the Football Association, the Devon FA will be running a Female
       Flexi Football offer between April and August 2022. They have funding to support 6 x applications
       from clubs wanting to be part of the programme.
           A flexible female football offer, for those aged 16 and above, to encourage participation without
       the  commitment  associated  with  weekly  league  fixtures  aimed  at  female  players  who  are  not
       currently playing regularly and/or want a more relaxed football offer.
           Flexible fixture events to be hosted at Devon FA, Newton Abbot, on the following dates:
         ● Sunday 3rd April (pm) Launch event
         ● Friday 27th May (evening)
         ● Friday 24th June (evening)
         ● Friday 15th July (evening)
         ● Friday 19th August (evening)
           Flexi by name, flexi by nature. All of the fixture dates will run at formats that suit the players,
       teams and attendance on the day. This could be 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 or whatever works best. Following
       fixtures,  the  DCFA  will  provide  free  refreshments  and  events  in  our  clubhouse.  The  football  is
       important but so is the chance to socialise afterwards.
           Clubs  who  are  successful  with  an  application  to  be  part  of  this  programme  will  receive  a
       branded Nike kit, equipment packages and funding to cover affiliation costs. In addition, there will
       be no costs to participate in the programme or fixture dates.
           Clubs  who  would  like  the  opportunity  to  be  part  of  this  should  contact  Matt  Hodgson,  on
       matthew.hodgson@devonfa.com.  The  deadline  for  applications  is  Monday  28th  February  and
       successful applicants will be contacted the following week.
       New recreational football sessions
       In partnership with Gateshead Rutherford AFC and Hebburn Town, the Durham FA have recently
       started two new women’s recreational football sessions which are available for females aged 16+ to
       attend.
           These sessions are a great opportunity for women to make new friends, keep fit and unleash
       their competitive nature. It does not matter ability, age, fitness levels or knowledge of the game,
       everyone is welcome. The two sessions so far have engaged over 30 women who are either looking to
       get back into the game or are giving the sport a try for the first time.
           On the back of this success, a new session has been established in partnership with Chester le
