Genero Adran League
It’s eight wins out of eight now for leaders Swansea City who scored five times without reply
away to Barry Town on Sunday. Laura Davies opened the scoring for the Swans in the 28th
minute, with Stacey John-Davis adding a second ahead of half time. Kelly Adams made it three
after the break and Swansea went on to wrap up the points with further goals from Jessica
Williams and an injury time penalty from John-Davis.
Cardiff City Women meanwhile defeated The New Saints 4-0, to stay level on points
with Swansea. Amy Williams put the Bluebirds in front with ten minutes on the clock and
Catherine Walsh added a quickfire double to leave her side three up at the break. Walsh went on
to round off the scoring by completing her hat-trick midway through the second half.
Cardiff Met Women stay three points behind in third place after they also won 4-0
against Aberystwyth Town. A Long gave the Archers the lead after seven minutes and after the
break, Taylor O’Leary netted a brace and Ellie Preece added the fourth goal with five minutes
remaining.
Aberystwyth’s defeat gave Pontypridd Town an opportunity to go above them into
fourth place, which they duly accepted with a 5-1 victory over Port Talbot Town. Pontypridd got
off to a fast start by taking the lead in the opening minute through Alana Murphy, with Olivia
Barnett bagging a brace and Kirstie Pervin-Davies adding a further goal by half time. Courteney
Thomas did reduce the arrears for Port Talbot with eleven minutes left but the Dragons were not
finished and Efa Preece-Jones scored a fifth late on.
