Continental Cup

       The  latest  round  of  matches  in  the  FA  Women’s  Continental
       League Cup were played in midweek and the group tables are
       starting to take shape now.
            Liverpool  have  gone  top  of  Group  A  following  their  2-1  victory  over  Blackburn
       Rovers.  Jade  Bailey  gave  them  the  lead  and  Taylor  Hinds  scored  a  second  to  stretch
       Liverpool’s unbeaten run to 11 in all competitions, despite a late reply from Aimee Hodgson.
       Sheffield Utd meanwhile won 2-1 at Aston Villa to join Liverpool on seven points. Kasia
       Lipka and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk scored the goals for the Blades, with Villa’s consolation
       coming from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah.
            Manchester City hold on to the leadership of Group B, despite going down to a 2-1
       defeat to local rivals Manchester Utd. Vicky Losada gave City an early lead, with Ivana Fuso
       equalising, and the game remained in the balance until ten minutes from time, when Ona
       Batlle  scored  to  hand  United  the  three  points.  The  win  take  United  into  second,  whilst
       Leicester City got off the mark by winning 2-1 at Durham Women. Shannon O’Brien and
       Molly Pike were on target for Leicester, with Lily Crosthwaite replying.
            In Group C, Tottenham Hotspur ran riot at Watford with an 11-0 victory which
       takes them three points clear. Rosella Ayane and Angela Addison each hit hat-tricks, with
       Asmita Ale, Esther Morgan, Chioma Ubogagu, Cho So-Hyun and Isabella Lane adding the
       others. Charlton Athletic went level on points with Coventry Utd after beating them 3-1.
       Elise Hughes (2) and Lois Roche were on target for the Addicks.
            Bristol City top Group D following their 3-1 win against Lewes, goals coming from
       Aggie Beever-Jones, Abi Harrison and Melissa Johnson. Reading FC Women meanwhile
       notched up their first win, 2-1 at Crystal Palace with Gemma Evans and Brooke Chaplen
       scoring.
            West  Ham  Utd  still  lead  the  way  in  Group  E  after  Claudia  Walker,  Lucy  Parker,
       Katerina  Svitkova  and  an  own  goal  gave  them  a  4-0  victory  over  Birmingham  City.
       London City Lionesses meanwhile produced a great result to win 1-0 away to Brighton
       & Hove Albion, courtesy of a second half goal from Karin Muya.
       The County Leagues…
       Gloucestershire League
       Olveston  Utd  kept  their  winning  run  going  with  a  narrow  1-0  victory  over  Longwell
       Green in a well contested encounter at Ironmould Lane. The only goal of the game came in
       the opening 30 seconds, scored by Rosanna Blacker, and Olveston held on despite an open
       second half in which both sides went very close to scoring. Katie Ambrey meanwhile bagged
       a hat-trick as Gloucester City made it two wins on the trot when beating Longlevens 3-1,
       Olivia Kosylowicz replying.
            Tuffley Rovers held on to the leadership of Division Two after winning 4-2 away to
       Red Falcon Club, whose goals came from Harriot Mason and Evelyn Cohen. Tuffley lead by
       a  single  point  from  Bristol  Rovers  Development  who  beat  Ellwood  Ladies  3-2.
       Shannon Francis, Tamsin Shiply and Anya Shipp all scored for Rovers, with Sophie Drain
       netting a brace in reply. Gemma Riley scored a hat-trick for Cheltenham Civil Service as
       they won for the first time, 3-1 against City of Gloucester whose consolation came from Eve
       Clarke.
            Bradley Stoke stay top of Division Three on goal difference following their 7-1 victory
       away to Olveston Utd Res. Chloe Brown netted four of the goals and Hollie Shone weighed
       in with the other three. Whitchurch & Bristol are up into second after a Jessica Nicholls
       double and Neave Willie gave them a 3-1 win at Mitcheldean SC, whilst Bristol Ladies
