FA Women’s National League
Southern Premier Division
Ipswich Town took advantage of Southampton FC
Women not having a game and replaced them at the top of
the table, thanks to an 11-2 win over a youthful Keynsham
Town side. Eloise King netted four of the goals for the Tractor Girls, Anna Grey and Sophie Peskett
added two apiece and also on target were Maddie Biggs, Maria Boswell and Abbie Lafayette. Henna
Butcher scored both for Keynsham - the first goals Ipswich have conceded this season.
Crawley Wasps meanwhile entered the top three after running out 5-1 winners away to
London Bees. Charlotte Owen, Naomi Cole, Nicola Gibson and Emma Plewa all scored for Crawley
along with an own goal whilst the Bees, who were beaten at home for the first time this season, replied
through a long range strike from Florence Gamby.
Gillingham meanwhile picked up their best win of the season so far, 4-1 against
Chichester & Selsey. Amy Russ was on target twice for the Gills along with Phoebe Leitch and
Otesha Charles, whilst Chi's consolation came from Laura da Silva.
Division One North
One match was played in the division on Sunday but it resulted in a change of leadership. Emily
Douglas led the scoring with a hat-trick as Liverpool Feds continued their excellent start to the
season with a 3-0 victory away to Norton & Stockton Ancients, which sees them replace Leeds
Utd at the top on goal difference.
Division One Midlands
Leek Town have moved into fifth place in the table after they defeated Peterborough Utd 4-1. The
two teams had been separated by a single point going into the game but a double from Katie Maya,
plus goals by Katie Gibbons and Michaela Lockett, saw Leek to their third victory of the season, whilst
Kier Perkins grabbed a late consolation goal for the Posh Ladies.
Division One South East
Leaders Billericay Town were narrow 1-0 winners over Cambridge City and this has given them
a lead of three points at the top of the table, from Hashtag Utd who were not in action. A tight
encounter was settled with eight minutes remaining, when Zoe Rushen scored the only goal of the
game.
Third placed Actonians Ladies received a setback as they went down to a 2-1 defeat at the
hands of Norwich City. Millie Daviss and Freya Symonds scored the goals to earn Norwich their first
league victory of the season, after Maria Ledezma-Viso had given Actonians an early lead.
It was also a good day for Stevenage Women who also won for the first time, after having
started the game at the foot of the table. Louise Godden was on target as Stevenage triumphed 1-0
away to Enfield Town, which gets them off the mark for the season and two places up the table.
Division One South West
In the solitary match to be played in the division, Chesham Utd took the opportunity to go three
points clear at the top of the table by winning 1-0 away to Poole Town. Gemma Fraser scored the
game's only goal for the Clarets, midway through the first half.
Reserve Section round-up...
Middlesbrough made it three wins in a row and head the Northern Division by three points after
beating Chorley 5-0. Alicia Mutrie netted twice along with Armani Maxwell, Kirsty McQuilling and
Daisy Stokoe. Stockport County moved up into second place by scoring nine times wihtout reply
against Barnsley. Elle Turner and Megan Bradley each netted twice whilst Georgia Johnson and Lily
