Jenny Dixon and Tyler Sharp were the scorers as Redcar Town defeated Sheffield
Wednesday 4-2, Jessica Birtles and Chantelle Rymer replying.
Boro Rangers narrowed the gap on Northern Division leaders Lumley Ladies to
two points when they shared a 1-1 draw with Bishop Auckland. A win would have taken
Boro top but after taking the lead through Rachel Jackson, they were denied when Vikki
Ryder equalised with five minutes remaining. Chester-le-Street Town Development
have moved into the top three after beating Washington Association 4-2. Sophie Farrugia
scored twice for the Cestrians along with Katie Ellwood and Layla Huskisson.
Southern Division table toppers Altofts Ladies went down to their second defeat of
the season, beaten 4-0 by Farsley Celtic Juniors who move up to third. Kimberly
Clydesdale, Jasmin Cooper, Sarah Kerford and Katie Platts were all on target for Farsley.
York RI meanwhile picked up a 6-3 victory away to Harrogate Town Development
which takes them into a mid-table position. Tehlilah Ndhlovu led the scoring with a four-goal
haul, while the others came from Tamryn Dunlop and Laura Kelly.
North West League
No matches were played in the Premier Division on Sunday but there was action in Diviion
One North, AFC Darwen extending their lead to nine points when they ran out 5-0 winners
over third placed Morecambe Res.
Chester FC Women preserved their two point advantage at the top of Division One
South with a 5-0 victory against Wythenshawe Amateurs. Salford City Lionesses
remain hard on their heels in second place, they defeated Didsbury Ladies 5-1.
Northwich Vixens stay third although they drew for the third time in four matches, sharing
six goals with Curzon Ashton. Runcorn Linnets and Warrington Wolves are both still
searching for their first league victory after their meeting finished level at 1-1.
Southern Region League
Abingdon Utd kept up their 100% start to the league season and stay three points clear at
the top of the Premier Division following their 2-0 win against Wycombe Wanderers.
Both goals came late in the game, scored by Charlotte Deeley and Tiana Russell-Cartwright.
Ascot Utd moved up into second by beating Oxford City 1-0, Georgia Bowers scoring the
only goal of the game. Moneyfields follow on after a much more emphatic victory, scoring
twelve times against Newbury Ladies. Kim Stenning and Kim Whitcombe both hit hat-
tricks, Katie George contributed a brace and there was one apiece from Natalie Bavister,
Emma Eldridge, Francesca Webster and Hollie Agombar.
In Division One South, a win would have seen Eastleigh take over the leadership but
they remain in second place after drawing 1-1 with Bournemouth Sports, a result which
means that both teams are still unbeaten. Hollie Shaw gave Bournemouth an early lead,
which was cancelled out midway through the second half by Catherine Browning. AFC
Bournemouth CST Development have climbed into the top half with a 3-1 win away to
Abbey Rangers, courtesy of a goal apiece from Rosie Nicklen, Grace Morgan and Lucy
Coalter.
West Midlands League
Chantelle Gallagher scored a hat-trick, along with Rehanne Mellor and an own goal, as Leek
Town went top of the Premier Division by winning 5-1 away to Worcester City. Solihull
Ladies Utd had started the day as leaders but are back in second place after going down to
a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Crusaders, who netted through Jessica Tsapparelli. Jamie-Leigh
Fowler and Niamh Deasy were on target as Sutton Coldfield Town went third by beating
Coventry Sphinx 2-0.
In Division One North, Stoke City Development made it five wins out of five and
are one point off the pace after their 7-2 success away to Coventry City. Sarah Hassanin led
the scoring with a hat-trick, Ava Suckley added a brace and the tally was completed by Lily
Jackson and Katie Naylor.
