Chesterfield Development. The two sides at the foot of the table came face to face
and the spoils were shared as AFC Mercia and Ilkeston Town Res finished level at
2-2.
Sandiacre Town have taken over as the new leaders of Division Two, scoring
six times without reply away to SK Vipers Vipers to take themselves above
Chesterfield Inspire Blue Ladies on goal difference. Sleetmoor Utd are out of the
bottom three following their 5-1 victory over Castle Donington.
Greater London League
Brentford have taken the runners-up spot in the Premier Division following their 2-0
win against Clapton Community. A second place finish was the prize on offer to the
winning team on the day and it was Brentford who took the spoils with goals from
Kaitlyn Spencer-Dempsey and Rebekah Wiltshire.
In Division One North, Sport London E Benfica went into their final match
of the season requiring a point in order to pip Headstone Manor to the title and they
got what they required, albeit with a 1-1 draw against Tower Hamlets which means
they win the division on goal difference. Hannah Summers scored the title clinching goal
for Benfica, whilst the home side replied through Judith Rossey.
One match was played in Division One South, South East Parakeets and
Tooting Bec battling out a 2-2 draw. Amy Doyle and Daisy Battles were on target for
the Parakeets, whilst Ellen Fewtrell and Charlotte Keenan responded for Tooting as they
drew for the fifth time this season.
Division Two North title winners Brentford Development are showing no
signs of slowing up, running out 4-1 winners over Actonians Ladies Development.
Shannon Read bagged a hat-trick for Brentford along with an own goal, whilst the home
side's consolation came from Antonia Cole.
North Riding League
The chase for the title still remains a really close, although it is down to three teams after
Sunday's matches. York St John University can no longer finish on top after they
were beaten 5-2 by Redcar Town Res, for whom Alice Hutchinson hit a hat-trick along
with Jenni Duffy-Smith and Jemma Fraser. Redcar Athletic remain as leaders, on goal
difference from Town, as Charlotte Agar (2), Amy Smith and Amy McGovern took them
to a 4-0 success away to Richmond Town. Guisborough Town still have matters in
their own hands and boosted their challenge by beating Huntington Rovers 9-1.
Olivia Jeal was on target four times and Charlotte Sellstrom weighed in with a brace,
while Charlotte Walker, Olivia Bullock and Ellie Todd also got on the scoresheet.
Poppleton meanwhile won 3-1 away to Brompton Ladies, thanks to a goal apiece
from Amarah Barker, Jess Drinkall and Megan Dunn.
Nottinghamshire League
Nottingham Forest Development have clinched the runners-up position in Division
One after they won 3-0 away to Mansfield Hosiery Mills. Jemma Crampton,
Chardonnay Truin and Alana Crawford scored the goals to ensure that Forest will finish
second behind title winners Nottingham Trent University. Keyworth Utd
meanwhile claimed their second league victory of the season, 2-0 against Mansfield
Town Development thanks to late goals from Sophie Beresford and Shantay Wright.
There was a change of leadership in Division Two, with Retford Women
taking over at the top following their 5-1 victory away to Arnold Eagles Flyers, who
would have gone top with a win. Emma Broome and Georgia Lewis each netted doubles
