East Midlands League
St Josephs Rockware of Worksop moved up
into fourth place in Division One North following
their 3-2 victory away to Grimsby Borough in the
only match to be played. Stacey Buxton netted twice
and Hannah Storey added the other to hand SJR
their fifth win of the season, with Laura Flecknor
bagging a brace in reply for the home side.
Derby County Academy made it fourteen
wins on the trot at the top of Division One South,
thanks to a 5-0 win against Kettering Town. Rosie
Hunt, Camille Jenkins, Kelsey Wragg, Mollie
Newton and Amelia Towers all scored to help their Caitlan Tattershall of Handsworth Development
team extend their lead over second placed Anstey shields the ball from Lucy Ridley of
Nomads to a huge twelve points. Third placed Oughtibridge WM (Julian Barker).
Oadby & Wigston meanwhile triumphed 2-1 away
to Ilkeston Town, Lily Cocking netting twice with Jade Eaglefield replying.
Eastern Region League
Bad weather and County Cup duties meant that only one match was played throughout
the entire league over the weekend.
In Division One South, Hutton moved themselves closer towards the top half of
the table as they won 2-0 against Billericay Town Development, courtesy of a goal
apiece from Amber Amey and Lauren Knight.
London & South East League
Millwall Lionesses and Worthing FC Women battled out a 3-3 draw which leaves
the teams in fifth and fourth place respectively in the Premier Division. Millwall netted
through Jordan Butler, Kaydence Kabadaki and Maisie Joyce, whilst Gemma Worsfold
hit a hat-trick for Worthing. Denham Utd boosted their chances of climbing out of the
bottom two by beating Aylesford 2-1. Millie Congerton and Annie Hewitt scored the
goals for Denham, with Charlotte Cresswell replying.
Two of the main challengers to Division One South leaders AFC Acorns met each
other and it was second placed Ashford Ladies who were 2-1 winners away to
previously unbeaten Hastings Utd. Jodie Cain and Rebecca Janes netted the goals to
inflict a first defeat of the season on the home side and narrow the gap on the Acorns to
two points. Gemma Shepherd hit a hat-trick, with Lillian Tucker and Elena Brock adding
the others, as Herne Bay defeated Bexhill Utd 5-0 to lift themselves up to third.
Welling Utd meanwhile notched up a 4-0 success at Maidstone Utd thanks to a goal
apiece from Sharna Giordani, Emily Clarke, Maddie Bone and Olivia McGregor.
North East League
Harrogate Town trimmed the lead of York City in the Premier Division when they
won 3-2 against Wakefield Trinity. Hannah Freibach, Nat Eustance and Rebecca
Wilson were all on target for Harrogate, with Chelsea Pilmer and Neve Renwick replying.
In the Northern Division, Chester-le-Street Utd moved themselves into the top
three following a thirteen goal blast against Guisborough Town. Rebecca Hansen was
