Genero Adran League
Cardiff City Women brought an end to Swansea City’s long unbeaten run in the league,
which stretched back to October 2018, when they defeated them 3-2 on Sunday. Amy
Williams gave Cardiff a seventeenth minute lead which was doubled shortly afterwards by
Zoe Atkins, and Catherine Walsh made sure that they led by three goals at half time.
Swansea were not finished and came back after the break, with substitute Karmyn Carter
scoring twice to make it a nervous end for the home side but they held on for a result which
takes them level on points with second placed Cardiff Met Women and four points behind
leaders Swansea.
In the Plate Conference, Pontypridd Town ran out 3-0 winners away to Port
Talbot Town to stay in fifth place. Alison Witts netted a first half brace to put the Dragons
two ahead at the break and Millie Jones wrapped up the win with the third goal midway
through the second half.
Barry Town Utd meanwhile made it two wins on the trot when beating The New
Saints 2-0. Taite Trivett was the heroine for Josh Anderson’s side as she scored both goals,
coming at the end of either half.
No matches were played in the North Division but one was played in the South
Division, Caldicot Town moving themselves back into a mid-table position with a 6-0
victory against Merthyr Town. Annie Redding and Rianne Jones each scored twice for
Caldicot, whilst Millie Pearce and Lucy
