Gemma Grainger has chosen her 26-player squad for her side’s key FIFA Women’s World
Cup Qualification Play-Off fixtures in October.
For the first time in history, Wales have advanced to the Play-Off stages to reach a
FIFA Women’s World Cup. Grainger’s side face Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Cardiff City
Stadium on Thursday 6th October (7.15pm) in the First Round.
A win for Wales would see them advance to the Second Round where they will take on
Switzerland at Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich on Tuesday 11th October (7pm).
Grainger has an almost full-strength squad available, with the only omission being
Natasha Harding who is unavailable due to personal reasons. In the only change to the
squad which secured its place in the Play-Offs by winning 1-0 in Greece, and then battling
out a goalless draw with Slovenia, she is replaced by Chloe Bull of Bristol City.
More than 9,000 tickets have been sold for the match against Bosnia & Herzegovina,
with the team hoping to see another record-breaking crowd for the third time in this
       campaign.
Tickets for the match start at only £2 (group bookings) and £4 (individual bookings)
       for kids, available at faw.cymru/tickets.
