Gloucestershire League
Bristol & West made a quick return to the top of Division One after they ran out 5-0 winners
over Bishops Cleeve. Aimee Clark led the scoring with a hat-trick and Lucy Sharp scored the
other two goals. Cheltenham Saracens had started the day as leaders but were beaten 4-1 by
Bristol Rovers Development. Helena Costa netted twice for Rovers along with Shannon
Francis and Gift Ihejieto, with Kelly Adams replying. Bitton Ladies meanwhile won 5-0 at
Tuffley Rovers, Abbie Woodley-Marshall bagging a brace along with Edie Hopton, Anna
Munday and Leanne Passaway.
AEK Boco Res made it three wins out of three when they defeated Whitchurch &
Bristol 4-2. Shania Powell bagged a hat-trick for the third match in a row with Asia Haines also
on target, Faith Constable and Hannah Gillett replied. Boco head the Division Two table on goal
difference from Red Falcon Club, who kept up their own good start as they also won 4-2, away
to Gloucester Dity Development with goals from Emily Hardaker (2), Tierney Harris and
Kathryn Fortune. Freya Warwick and Kate Ambrey replied for the home side. Gemma Riley hit a
hat-trick and Jasmine Hart the other as Cheltenham Civil Service defeated Cirencester
Town 4-0, a result which takes them into third place. Downend Flyers Res edged out Bradley
Stoke 5-4 thanks to Beth Pitman (2), Georgia Bragg, Jade White and Jessica Lumber, with the
visitors netting through Emily Jacklin (2), Holly Gibbs and Hollie Shone.
Ellwood Ladies continue to look strong in Division Three and have a lead of three points
following their 6-0 victory over Andoversford, Tia Watts, Amy Tandy and Michaela Dowle all
scoring twice. Kingswood Women moved into the top three on the back of a 2-1 win against
Mitcheldean SC and Stoke Lane Athletic were also 2-1 victors away to SGS Olveston Utd
Res thanks to a goal in each half from Sophie Sawyer. Amber Garton was on target for Bristol
Ladies Union as they shared a 1-1 draw with Winchcombe Town, who replied through Katy
Bradshaw.
Greater London League
A 3-2 win away to Regents Park Rangers has taken Actonians Ladies Res to the top of the
Premier Division. Kayleigh Peters netted twice and Anne-Marie Pejcic added the other, with
Emma Johnson and Georgiana Wagemann replying. Actonians lead on goal difference from
Islington Borough, who scored five without reply away to Camden Town, Cleo Williams
bagging a brace along with Elisabeth Gaver, Charlee Vaz and Abby Webster. Hannah Summers
and Mariia Vintoniak each netted twice as Headstone Manor won 4-1 at UCL Academicals,
a result which takes them third ahead of Comets who defeated Richmond & Kew 4-2 courtesy
of Diede Fennema, Clara MacLeod, Christina Stuart and Michelle Keating.
Three teams sit level on points at the top of Division One North, still headed by Leyton
Orient after they beat Forest Crusaders 4-3 with goals from Liliana Almeida (2), Jordan
Feldman and Olivia Worsfold. Katherine Gee and Rhiannon Mullan scored the goals as East
London Ladies won 2-1 away to Brentford B and AFC Leyton defeated Luton Town Res
3-1 thanks to Catie Cox (2) and Abigail Lestrade. Hackney Res and Actonians Ladies 3rds
meanwhile battled out a 1-1 draw with goals from Becky McCready and Kirsty Bradley respectively.
Bryony Bancroft hit a hat-trick, with Olivia Griffiths and Eleanor White adding the others,
as Division One South leaders Tooting Bec won 5-0 against Kenningwell Utd. They continue
to lead on goal difference from Hammersmith who beat South London Laces 3-0 thanks to
Ashley Nevey, Sophia Fromont and Madeleine Hills. South London Women Res won 4-0 at
South East Parakeets and remain two points off the pace, Virginia Somers netting twice along
with Leanna Glass and Jessica Harris, Bethan McIntosh (2), Alice Poole and Shania McGrath
accounted for the goals as Balham Panthers defeated 4-0 and CB Hounslow Utd were 2-1
victors at Wandsworth Borough, Ellie Cullen netting twice.
Sheffield & Hallamshire League (by Julian Barker)
AFC Bentley were 5-4 winners over Brunsmeer Athletic in Division One thanks to goals from
Phoebe Sneddon (2), Becky Kendell, Jenna McGee and Jo Rice. It finished all square at
Wakefield AFC Res where Nicole Moffatt scored both for the hosts, with Kayleigh Gerriety and
news@womenssoccerscene.co.uk
