Introducing Melksham Town F.C. Cont..
attacking player who has already shown as a substitute his ability to find space and create
chances for himself and his teammates.
FORWARDS
Harvey Woods
Harvey recently signed for Town following a long time with Southampton. Having joined
Southampton as a youngster he progressed through the Academy process and signed
professional terms. He was a regular scorer through the age groups and tasted senior
football with both Totton and Poole Town. A strong and bustling forward Harvey adds
further pace and strength to our attacking options.
Tom Dowell
Another youth product who has played through the age groups at Oakfield's, and regularly
scored goals throughout the early part of the season with the under 18s. Tom is a pacey and
skilful youngster who will add to the senior team with his raw energy and directness.
Ben Brooks
Ben joined the club from Cinderford Town earlier in the season and was Cinderford's top
scorer. He is a natural finisher and scored on his debut against Bradford Town in the
Wiltshire Shield. Town will hope he can continue his fine start to the year in Melksham
colours. An experienced striker who is a natural goal scorer.
Benjani Mwaruwari Jr.
Benjani joined Melksham during November 2023 on loan from Yeovil Town. He made a
positive impression in his first game with his ability to retain possession and direct running.
A skilful addition to the club who despite his young age clearly has a solid future in football.
We look forward to being part of that journey.
Jake Dodge
Jake is another local lad who last season started in the Development squad before linking
with our Reserve side in the Wiltshire League. He scored a hatful of goals with both teams
and deservedly joined with the First Team towards the end of the season. A quick striker
who can operate wide or through the centre.
Management:
Mark Collier (Manager)
Mark is an experienced and successful manager who previously led Chippenham Town
to their highest position in the football pyramid following promotion to the National
League South, after winning the Southern Premier League. Mark will be working closely
with Luke Ballinger and David Thompson to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
Mark has also managed locally in Wiltshire with Swindon Supermarine famously leading
them to the FA Cup Second Round where they played Football League side Colchester
United.
Lee Davidson
Lee started as a player with Bristol Rovers and also has played at Shepton Mallet, Bradford
Town and Melksham. Most recently he was manager at local rivals Bradford Town. He had a
successful time with Bradford leading them to success in winning the Les Phillips Cup and
building a competitive and successful squad. Lee joined the back room team during the
summer of 2023.
Nicole Evans
Nicole joined the team during November 2023 after starting the season at neighbours
Westbury United. She is a welcome addition to the team and provides physio and medical
support to the players.
Jamie Bush
Jamie is the ever present kit man, who is usually the first to arrive and last to leave. He
is always carrying at least one large bag and often many more. A key part of the back
room staff at the club.
