Sadie Hooper and Nicole Shaw as they beat Farsley Celtic Juniors 7-2. Alesha Gale and
Crystal Lisle were on target as third placed Millmoor Juniors Ladies won 2-0 against
Harworth Colliery and Altofts Ladies, who look to be Barnsley's main challengers,
kept themselves in the race by defeating Bradford Park Avenue 7-1 with a goal apiece
from Nicola Smith, Amy Tilford, Natalie Riley, Emily Sharp, Cara Mahoney, Natalie Dean
and Nadine Bates. Debbie Hastings hit a hat-trick for Ossett Utd as they slammed Ripon
City 9-2, the others coming from Charlotte Adams, Emily Burton, Madison Hall, Danielle
Sidebottom, Rowan Treagus and Chelsea Schofield. Sheffield Utd Community
Foundation emerged as 3-1 winners from their local derby with Sheffield Wednesday,
Shannon Coughlan, Charlotte Howe and Paige Wainwright netting their goals and Jasmin
Wilsher replying.
North West League
Salford City Lionesses continue to stretch the pace in the Premier Division, staying two
points clear at the top with a 2-0 victory away to West Didsbury & Chorlton. FC
United of Manchester, who have three games in hand, stay on their heels in second
following a thirteen goal strike against Darwen FC Women.
Haslingden put a halt to Carlisle Utd's recent good form by beating them 5-1 and
they stay eight points clear at the top of Division One North, although they are running out
of games. Accrington Stanley were 3-2 winners away to Penwortham Town and
Preston North End cannot be discounted from the title race, they continue to win their
games in hand and stayed in touch with a 6-1 victory over Chorley Women
Development. Morecambe meanwhile won 5-1 against Workington Reds and this
has taken them back into the top half.
Bury AFC Women stay two points ahead in Division One South, they won 2-0 at
Altrincham thanks to a double from Sophie Charlton whilst second placed Runcorn
Linnets defeated Warrington Wolves Foundation 4-2. Poulton Vics can no longer
win the title but are looking good for a third place finish, they won 2-1 against Northwich
Vixens whilst Chester FC Women, the only side which can still catch them, ran out 8-1
winners against Wythenshawe Amateurs. Ashleigh Bullock hit a hat-trick for Chester,
Ellie Bradley weighed in with a brace, while Alisha Wright, Lauren Quigg and Molly Wood
were also on target. Hindley Juniors Women continued their improving form and their
3-2 success at Alder FC Women increased their hopes of climbing off the bottom.
South West League
Frampton Rangers have gone back to the top of the Northern Division with a 3-1 victory
away to SGS Olveston Utd. Amie Norris, Kirsten Prior and Ruby Michael all scored a
goal apiece for Frampton, whilst the O's consolation came via an Isabelle Amphlett penalty.
The title race is over in the Western Division though and Marine Academy
Plymouth will be making a swift return to the top flight as they were crowned Champions
in style, following a 7-2 victory over second placed Sticker Women. Siana Goddard led
the scoring with a hat-trick and Sam Drewery contributed a further two, with Rebekah
Rose and Ellen Thomas also on target. Leanne Cording and Tori Marks were on target for
Sticker, who remain in the driving seat for second place.
Southern Region League
Ascot Utd have made sure of finishing as runners-up in the Premier Division following
their 1-0 victory against Winchester City Flyers. Tiffany Skinner scored the only goal of
the game to ensure that Ascot will finish second behind title winners Abingdon Utd.
Badshot Lea are the Division One South Champions after winning their title
showdown match 4-1 against AFC Stoneham. Lucy Cook netted two of the goals for
