but also to see where we stand against a really talented Tier 3 squad as ultimately, that’s
where we want to be next season. It’s the last sixteen of the competition so to get into the
quarter finals would be another fantastic achievement for us and I know would mean a lot to
all of us. We will play our style of football and hope that the unbeaten run continues!
WSS: Things are looking good for you in the league right now with a six point
lead, but out of the chasing teams, which ones do you see as your main
       challengers?
ES: It’s got to be AFC Wimbledon. We have gone toe to toe with them in every game we’ve
played and they’ve shown how good they are when they’ve gone against higher opposition this
season, such as Watford. When we play them, both teams go to another level and it’s an
extremely tight contest. That’s why we are concentrating on winning every game this season
and not allowing any chance for them to catch us. Despite them being our main challengers, I
truly believe this league isn’t won until the last game of the season.
WSS: You went so close to winning the league last season, just missing out to
Billericay, is there a determination amongst the squad to go one better this time
       around?
ES: 100%. Last season hurt a lot and we could have gone one of two ways but I am so pleased
we have all stuck together and said there is unfinished business in winning this league and
getting to Tier 3. We’ve trained hard since the first day of pre-season and that has maintained
in every training session and match. The feeling of losing out by one point to Billericay is, for
me, the best kind of motivation to go on and win the league this year.
WSS: If you can go on to win promotion, are you confident that the team is
capable of making an impact at a higher level?
ES: I am confident we would be competing in the top half of Tier 3. We have played the likes of
Southampton, Ipswich, Chichester and Selsey and competed well in every one of them. The
squad have such a winning mentality alongside being generally very talented players that I
think we would give every team in Tier 3 a good game.
       Our thanks to Emma!
