so far this season but five second half goals saw the Saints comfortably home, Leeta Rutherford
and Georgie Freeland each netting twice along with Sophia Pharoah, Sky Bedwell and Ella Morris.
Portsmouth meanwhile went through with a 2-1 win against AFC Bournemouth in
their South Coast clash. All of the goals came in the first half with Shannon Albuery's early strike
for Pompey being cancelled out by Lucy Cooper, before Evie Gane scored what proved to be the
winner for Portsmouth who face a derby match in the next round against Southampton FC
Women.
Newcastle Utd made the long trip to Salford City Lionesses and returned with a
4-0 win under their belts. Katie Barker was on target twice along with Kacie Elson and Georgia
Gibson to end the hopes of the North West League side. Newcastle will be away to either Chorley
or Bradford City.
Two of the ties were abandoned on the day, the second being at Gillingham due to
injury, with the home side 2-0 ahead against Actonians Ladies with a few minutes to go.
Melanie Parreno and Beau Parker scored the goals for Gillingham, who have since been
confirmed as the winners and will host Charlton Athletic in the next round.
AFC Wimbledon inflicted a first defeat of the season on Hashtag Utd, an injury time
goal from Ashlee Hincks giving the Dons a 1-0 victory. Wimbledon will now be at home to either
Ipswich Town or Crawley Wasps.
Rebecca May scored twice and Ellie Jeffkins added the other as Billericay Town ran
out 3-0 winners away to Queen's Park Rangers. Billericay will be away in the next round to the
winners of the tie between Kent Football Utd and Chesham Utd.
Cheltenham Town and Southampton Women sit level on points at the top of
FAWNL Division One South West and the tie proved to be as tight as expected, going all the way
to penalties after a 3-3 draw. Lacy-Jai Liggett netted twice and Courtney Jones the other for
Cheltenham, with Southampton scoring through Kiera Heslam, Sian Wylie and Rachel Okoro,
before Southampton triumphed 6-5 in the resulting shootout. They will now be at home to
Exeter City whose superb run of form continued with a 5-0 victory at Eastleigh. Sarah Stacey
led the scoring with a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Anthea Kaptein and Connie
Pengelly.
