Danske Bank NI Women’s Premiership
Cliftonville Ladies power on at the top of the Danske Bank NI Women’s Premiership and
remain five points ahead after winning 3-1 away to Linfield. Kirsty McGuinness gave Cliftonville
the lead against her former club on the stroke of half time but Linfield battled back after the break
to equalise through Carla Devine. Erin Montgomery put the Reds back in front on the hour mark
and McGuinness wrapped up the points with her second goal.
Glentoran bounced back after defeat to Cliftonville seven days earlier and it was Derry
City who caught the backlash. Lauren Wade led the scoring with a hat-trick as the Glens ran out
7-0 winners, after Cora Morgan and Sarah Connolly had given them a two-goal lead. Connolly
netted her second during the second half and Sasha Clare also got on the scoresheet for the
reigning Champions.
Crusaders Strikers have leapt up into third place, following their 4-1 victory away to its
previous occupants, Sion Swifts. The home side had been unbeaten since the opening day of the
