The third and final round of group fixtures before the competition splits into straight knock out
(League Cup for the main Cup competition and also Shield) were held last weekend.

draw against Handsworth. Jess Broadhurst, with four, and Abi Shepherd (2) were on target for
Rotherham Utd Whitehill who claimed second spot, a point behind, thanks to a 6-2 win over
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic. Rotherham made a strong start and the points were virtually
assured by the time Jo Marfleet netted the first of Worsbrough’s goals (to make it 4-1). Lucy Tindle
scored Worsbrough’s second.
SJR Worksop Development won all three of their Group Two games, Beth Gingell
netting both in a 2-1 win at Sheffield Utd Community Foundation to take her tally in the
games to 10. Tia Needham replied for United. The group’s other game ended with six goals being
shared. Valentina Basso (2) and Helen Kean were on the mark for Socrates, who finish second,

Wellington who kept their hopes of a top two finish alive by beating Porlock 7-3. Leah Morrell
hit a hat-trick for Wellington whose other goals came from Marie Barrow, Jess Regan, Amy
Sharkey and Lauren Smith whilst Kaylyn Porter scored a hat-trick in reply.
The race is over in Division Three as Wells City clinched the title with a 5-0 victory away
