ASHLEY WILLIAMS
Spent several seasons at Newport County before joining us in October 2006. Had
two seasons at Lodge Road before being transferred to Chippenham Town for
£1,000.
JASON WOOD
Joined us from Western League Keynsham Town towards the end of the 2003-04 season,
Enjoyed several seasons with us, and had a penchant for scoring spectacular goals.
FORWARDS
AARON BLAKEMORE
Signed before the start of the 2006-07 season, who had previously played for Taunton Town
and Welton Rovers, and went on to have a good scoring record here.
DARREN EDWARDS
Another product of our Youth Team, and made his Southern league debut for us at Erith &
Belvedere when only 17. A prolific goal scorer throughout his senior career, at Mangotsfield
United and Tiverton Town before returning to Yate from Mangos in December 2004, and was
then transferred to Bath City for £5,000 in November 2006.
JUSTIN PRITCHARD
Began his career with Bristol Rovers, later played for Weston Super Mare and Merthyr Tydfil,
for whom he scored over 20 goals in their promotion campaign of 2002-03. Transferred to
us from Merthyr in February 2004, but his subsequent career was blighted by injuries.
STAFF
RICHARD THOMPSON (Manager)
Now Yate Town's Director of Football, "Thommo" is a product of our Youth Team who went
on to make Football League appearances for Torquay United, Newport County and Exeter
City. After a successful non-league career, he returned at the turn of the millenium, and
became our Manager, overseeing our return to the Southern League in 2003, followed by
promotion to the Premier Division two years later.
LEE BARLASS (Assistant Manager)
Lee joined us as Player Coach in September 2002, then became Thommo's Assistant
Manager and right hand man. Lee was a central defender and was previously Club captain
at Mangotsfield United for several seasons.
MIKE WYATT (Assistant Manager)
Mike is a local lad who played several Football League matches for both Bristol clubs as a
youngster. Then moved into non-league where his clubs included Bath City, Gloucester City
and Worcester City. Joined us as a player from Clevedon Town at the start of the 2003-04
season
DAVE LUKINS (Physio)
A vastly experienced and respected physio who is currently Head Physio at Taunton Town
GARY WEBB (Kitman)
Gary is currently in his third season as Yate Town Kit Manager. A highly motivated and
enthusiastic person, Gary is an integral part of our backroom team, who represented the
club about 40 years ago and was also a referee in local leagues for approx 15 seasons.

The great majority of the above players were either members of our squad which gained
promotion from the Hellenic League to Southern League in 2002-03,and/ or of the squad
which were promoted into the Premier Division two seasons later.
