Briton Ferry Llansawel have reached the FAW Women’s Cup Final for the first time in
their history following a 3-0 semi final victory over Aberystwyth Town on Sunday.
The Genero Adran South title hopefuls took on their top flight opponents, who were also
looking for a first Final appearance, but it was Ferry who took a nineteenth minute lead
through Lowri Baker. Megan Kearle put them two ahead, early in the second half, and Fleur
Jenkins sealed a superb result for her side when she added the third on the hour.
Ferry will up against Premier leaders and holders Cardiff City Women in the Final
after the Bluebirds overcame Cardiff Met Women 2-0 in the other semi final. Rhianne
Oakley was the heroine for City as she scored a goal in each half to put themselves beyond the
reach of the Archers and book their place in the Final for the fifth time.
The date and venue for the Final were to be confirmed at the time of going to print.

Wrexham took over the leadership of the North Division when they defeated CPDM Y
       Felinheli 8-1 on Sunday.
Rosie Hughes has been in stunning form in front of goal and she scored four times to
spearhead the win for Wrexham once again. Amber Lightfoot, Sophie Hodson and Lily
Whitefoot also got on the scoresheet with an own goal completing the tally, Jordanne
Greenough replying for Felinheli. The win was Wrexham’s ninth in succession, and takes
them above previous leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads who did not have a game.
Llandudno may well have to settle for third place this time around, Julia Alcock and Ffion
Owen scoring their goals as they won 2-1
