Steyning Town Community to go level on points with Ashford, thanks to goals from Beth
Chambers and Shantelle Omar. Bromley FC Women beat Bexhill Utd 2-0 to keep
themselves just ahead of Welling Utd, who defeated Cray Valley (PM) 4-0 courtesy of
Natalie Crinean, Grace Laverick, Abi Potter-Scarborough and Sarah White. Erin
MacLennan, Izzy Taggart and Aurelia Golos all scored to earn Herne Bay a 3-2 win away
to Newhaven, whose replies came from Gracie Cook and Jamie Quinn.
North East League
No matches were played in the Premier Division on Sunday but there was plenty of action in
the Northern Division, where Hartlepool Utd received a setback as they were beaten 4-3
by Hartlepool Pools Youth. Charlotte Scott hit a hat-trick for Pools, with Aislinn Carroll
adding the other, whilst United's replies came from Robyn Foster, Jade Pye and Cheyanna
Burnett-Griffith. Spennymoor Town therefore replace United in third after drawing 1-1
with Norton & Stockton Ancients Res, Autumn Colledge scoring a late equaliser after
Norton had taken the lead through Maddie Myers. Christine Murray led the scoring with a
four-goal haul as Gateshead FC Ladies defeated Bishop Auckland 8-2 to climb up the
table. Olivia Black weighed in with a hat-trick and Jessica Richardson was also on target.
Barnsley FC Ladies have gone six points clear at the top of the Southern Division
after scoring eight times without reply past Bradford Park Avenue. Lynn Goodman and
Jodie Gregory each bagged hat-tricks, with Louisa Barraclough adding the other two.
Millmoor Juniors Ladies won 1-0 at Ripon City to go third, Crystal Lisle scoring the
only goal. Shauna Hill netted four times and Sarah Lawn added a further three for Farsley
Celtic Juniors in their 10-3 success at Sheffield Wednesday. Jasmin Cooper, Tara
Nolan and Charlotte Pardoe contributed the other goals. Tamryn Dunlop (2), Lily Stancliffe
and an own goal earned York RI a 4-4 draw with Harworth Colliery whose scorers were
Sophie Thompson (2), Grace Sanderson and Katie McCreadie.
North West League
Salford City Lionesses have climbed up into second place in the Premier Division, one
point behind leaders Curzon Ashton, after winning 5-1 against Blackburn Community
SC. Fleetwood Town Wrens meanwhile defeated Darwen FC Women 4-1, courtesy of
a goal apiece from Ellie Parkinson, Emily Jones, Sophia Woods and Emily Slater.
Haslingden have gone seven points clear at the top of Division One North after they
beat Preston North End 4-2. Accrington Stanley meanwhile edged out Penwortham
Town 3-2 and Morecambe beat Bolton Wanderers 3-0 thanks to Natalie Broad, Olivia
Thompson and Yasmine Swarbrick. Ella Blundell and Becky Shaw were on target for
Chorley Women Development in their 2-1 victory over Sir Tom Finney, whose reply
came from Eve Walker.
A 4-0 victory away to Alder FC Women has taken leaders Runcorn Linnets five
points ahead in Division One South. Poulton Vics meanwhile defeated BRNESC Ladies
5-2 and sit in second place, whilst Altrincham increased the gap between themselves and
Wythenshawe Amateurs by winning their meeting 3-2.
South West League
Two of the title challengers in the Premier Division met each other and the points were
shared as Bristol Rovers and Torquay Utd finished level at 2-2. Annys Turner gave
Rovers a first half lead but Torquay hit back to lead after the break through Connie Pengelly
and Anthea Kaptein, before Abi Todd salvaged a point for Rovers with an injury time
equaliser. Caitlin Berry netted the only goal of the game as Bishop's Lydeard beat
Sherborne Town 1-0 and Liskeard Athletic were 2-1 winners over Poole Town
courtesy of Georgie Talbot and Chloe Williams, with Debbie Collinson replying.
Frome Town narrowed the gap on Eastern Division leaders Pucklechurch Sports
to two points with a 2-0 victory over Weymouth, Karen Perkins and Martha Wyatt scoring
their goals. Ellie Burrows and Laura Jones were on target as Weston-super-Mare moved
