top of the table in a league above us, I'm sure the game will be tough but I know the girls will go
in and play for the club and give it our best shot.
WSS: In the meantime, it will be back to the league and your promotion push, with
games against Pontardawe and Caldicot this week. Is it a case of getting your feet
back on the ground quickly and back to the regular games?
CY: At the start of the season we set out a clear objective to gain promotion and that's still our
main priority. Our focus is on the league and we are treating every game like a cup final. Every
game is a must win for us no matter who the opponent is. Pontardawe are a good team with
something to prove and are always a tough opposition but I feel confident in the girls that we
will get the job done. Having three games in one week will be tough and I'm sure by Sunday
against Caldicot there will be some tired legs on the pitch but we have great strength in depth
with a lot of the youngsters stepping up to play first team football. (Briton Ferry won 7-0
       against Pontardawe)
WSS: You are firmly in the driving seat in the title race right now, but has it helped
with having so many cup games to play in between them?
CY: As I mentioned before, the league has always been our priority, with so many cup games it
did jolter our league campaign as by Christmas we had only played four league games. It's
tough to focus on the league when we are not playing week in week out with a constant schedule.
But I feel as a team, we have handled it very well and have got the results needed to keep us on
       the top of the table.
WSS: What would it mean to everyone at the club if you were able to regain your
top flight status for next season?
CY: This would be everything for the club being so close to promotion last year and not getting
it really pushed us to be the best we can this season and I feel like the girls are achieving it well.
We wouldn't be where we are right now without the staff and they play a massive part in us
getting the results needed. Although we feel we are a top flight team, I feel like we have finally
proven it on the field and we deserve to be promoted. It's not guaranteed yet as we still have a
few tough games to play, including a play off final but the way we are playing at the minute fills
me with confidence that we will achieve our goals of getting promoted.
