East Midlands League
Grimsby Town have gone to the top of Division One North on goal difference, following
their 2-0 win away to St Josephs Rockware of Worksop. After a goalless first half, Eden
Pedersen gave Grimsby the lead and Danielle Brighton wrapped up the win with the second
goal late on.
The other league action over the weekend was in Division One South, where Dunton &
Broughton Utd defeated Thrapston Town 3-1 to move up into second place. Samantha
Hargrave was on target twice for Dunton and Emma Apsinall added the other, with Amelia
Boddington replying.
Eastern Region League
Stevenage Women maintained their two point lead in the Premier Division after Victoria
Neal and an own goal gave them a 2-0 victory away to Colney Heath. Kate Edwards netted
twice, with Jessica Allen and Evie Creaton adding the others, as second placed AFC
Sudbury defeated Bowers & Pitsea 4-1, Mia Lempriere grabbing a consolation for the
visitors.
One match was played in Division One North, Newmarket Town winning 5-3 away to
third placed St Ives Town. Katie Hayes and Lidiya Mykhaylechko each bagged doubles for
Newmarket and Abbie Corbyn was also on target, with Annie Posnett hitting a hat-trick in
reply.
Lawford narrowed the gap on Division One South leaders Barking to four points,
thanks to a 7-2 victory at East Bergholt Utd. Daisy Canny led the scoring with a hat-trick
and there were doubles from Georgia Box and Lindsey Morgan, whilst both of the home
side's replies came from Jade Horne. Billericay Town Development follow on after also
winning 7-2 against Hutton. Layla Kenly was on target five times for Billericay along with
Sophie Hart and Abigail Townsend, whilst Hutton netted through Lucy Critchell and
Victoria Kinsman. Grays Athletic meanwhile won for the second time this season, 1-0
against AFC Sudbury Res.
London & South East League
Worthing FC Women went three points clear at the top after beating AFC Acorns 4-0.
Chloe Winchester hit a hat-trick for the leaders and Hayley Bridge added the other.
Ebbsfleet Utd meanwhile moved above Fulham FC Women into second place on goal
difference when an Amelia Woodgate double earned them a 2-1 victory over Millwall
Lionesses, who replied through Otesha Charles. Dulwich Hamlet were also 2-1 winners
away to Enfield Town, Erin Corrigan and Sophie Manzi scoring their goals. Paris Smith
(2), Shauni Griffiths, Emily Vaughan and Milly Penfold accounted for the goals as Dartford
FC Women defeated Aylesford 5-1 and Sutton Utd netted five without reply at New
London Lionesses, Jasmine Backhurst and Darcy Wells each bagging braces along with
Olivia Watson.
Clapton Community stretched their lead in Division One North to four points with a
2-0 success at Hackney, Olateju Callisto and Maria Mendonca were on target. Dulwich
Hamlet Res are in third place following their 2-1 victory at Leatherhead, Ana De
Pellegrin and Alexandra Muschette netting their goals with Megan Button replying.
Kimberly Castro and Kendal Drake were the markswomen for Sport London e Benfica
as they shared a 2-2 draw with Whyteleafe, who scored through Anna Wooldridge and
Abigail Woollvin.
The top two teams in Division One South met for the first time this season and it was
Hastings Utd who were 4-1 winners over Ashford Utd. Beth Creese netted twice along
with Sian Heather and an own goal to take them four points clear of Ashford, whose
consolation came from Abbey Davies. Eastbourne Utd meanwhile won 2-1 against
