Lucas Vowles - The young striker broke into the Clevedon Town first-team for the 2017-2018 season
after spending time with their under-18 team. He was their top scorer for three consecutive seasons
before moving to Bristol Manor Farm in 2020, his goalscoring exploits for the Bristol side eventually
earning him a move to the Seagulls in November 2020.

Scott Laird - Weston’s player-assistant manager began at Plymouth Argyle and spent time on loan with
Tiverton Town, Torquay United and Stevenage after being offered a professional contract at the Pilgrims
in 2006. In February 2008, he joined Stevenage permanently and helped them progress into the EFL.
Upon leaving in 2012, he spent time with Preston North End, Scunthorpe United, Forest Green Rovers
and two loan spells with Walsall. In 2019, he signed for Weston upon his FGR release.

Chris Knowles - The experienced midfielder/coach has spent his career in Non-League, beginning out
with Fairford Town FC and representing Salisbury FC, Poole Town and Bashley FC during his early years.
In 2011, he spent time in the Australian fourth tier for a couple of years before returning to England in
2014, going on to play for Gloucester City, Cirencester Town and Frome Town. In December 2019, he
signed for the Seagulls upon his Gloucester release.
Management Team

Scott Bartlett - A playing career with Cirencester Town, Salisbury FC, Weston, Bath City and Forest
Green Rovers, the Seagulls gaffer retired in 2011 and went on to spend the next eight years at FGR as
a first-team coach and Head of Academy. In October 2016, he was appointed Weston manager for the
first time, keeping them in the National League South before leaving in June 2017. He returned to the
club for a second spell as manager in May 2019.

Mark McKeever - The Northern Irishman spent his playing career with Norwich City, Peterborough
United, Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol Rovers, Reading, Weston, Bath City and Mangotsfield United. He
has spent the past 15 years being involved with Weston on the coaching side, serving as the under-18s
manager, assistant manager to Ryan Northmore, Football Development Officer, Senior Phase
Development Manager, first-team coach and caretaker manager. He is currently a first-team coach and
Head of Coaching.
Steve Laker - The goalkeeping coach joined the club in March 2020 from Bridgwater Town. He has
previously managed the Bridgwater Reserves, Bishop Sutton and Wells City while being a coach at Street
FC.
Connor Toland - The Performance Analyst has previously served as a Sport Science Intern for the
Yeovil Town Women’s team and Taunton Town before taking up a Sports Science Coach / Data Analyst
role at Dorchester Town in January 2020. He spent 18 months with the Dorset club before moving on
to the Seagulls in June 2021.
Bob Flaskett - Weston’s groundsman has been a regular around the old Woodspring Park and the
current Optima Stadium, having been at the latter since its opening in 2004. Bob is responsible for
maintaining the pitches at The Optima daily.

Malcolm Fiztgerald - Weston’s kitman has been around the club for years and years, for as long as
people can remember. Starting out as a supporter, Fitzy has helped out around the club for years and
served as the first-team’s kitman for the last four seasons.
