FA Women’s National League

       Northern Premier Division
Derby County need to win their final game of the
season to be sure of the runners-up spot, following
their 2-1 win away to Stoke City. Sophie Domingo
scored a second half double to keep the Ewe Rams in second place, whilst Hull's
consolation goal came from Katie Thompson.
Fylde Women are also assured of at least a top three finish, thanks to a 2-0
success at Sheffield FC. Sasha Rowe gave Fylde the lead after eight minutes and the
Coasters sealed the points midway through the second half, when Mel Bartley headed
home the second goal from a corner.
Huddersfield Town move back up to fourth following a 2-2 draw with
Loughborough Lightning, who picked up another valuable point in their battle to stay
up. Katie Stanley gave Huddersfield a first half lead which was cancelled out just before
half time by a Katie Middleton penalty. Huddersfield went back in front early in the
second half, thanks to Mia Parry, and once again Loughborough hit back and a late strike
from Natalie Taylor earned them a share of the spoils.
There was also a late equaliser at West Bromwich Albion and this time it was
the home side who earned themselves a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough. Armani Maxwell
put 'Boro in front after twenty minutes and they looked be holding on for a precious
victory until two minutes from time, when Hannah George salvaged a point for Albion.
On Thursday night, Imogen Porteous-Williams scored the only goal of the game as
Brighouse Town won 1-0 against Sheffield FC.
       Southern Premier Division
Southampton FC Women clinched the Southern Premier Division title in front of an
attendance of over 5,000 at St Mary's Stadium on Wednesday night, with a 2-0 victory
over Portsmouth. The two goals came either side of half time, Sophie Pharoah giving
Saints the lead just before the break and Lucia Kendall adding the second, early in the
       second half.
Three days earlier, Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side had run out 6-1 winners against
Plymouth Argyle. Lucia Kendall scored twice along with Ciara Watling, Sophia
Pharoah, Georgie Freeland and Laura Rafferty, whilst Argyle's consolation came from Zoe
       Cunningham.
Ipswich Town strengthened their chances of finishing as runners-up when they
defeated London Bees 3-0. Maria Boswell, Lucy Egan and Lucy O'Brien all scored for
the Tractor Girls, who face Oxford Utd this Sunday in a match which may well decide
       who finishes in second.
Bridgwater Utd remain fourth despite having gone down to a 2-0 defeat at home
to Portsmouth on Sunday. The game was goalless at half time but Cherelle Khassal gave
Pompey the lead eight minutes after the restart and Emma Jones wrapped up the win with
       the second goal late on.
Crawley Wasps notched up a 3-1 victory away to Cardiff City Ladies which
ensures they will finish in the top six. Letitia Nicholls, Ellie Russell and Iesha Swaby all
scored a goal apiece for Crawley, with Cardiff's reply coming from Cori Williams.
