Physical Therapy
•Commit to funding portions of FTE through AHS (they may not be able to do this as they might not be able to manage a variety of different regional or local agreements.)
•Level of need does not warrant hiring our own.
•Contract with service providers - coordinated divisionally.
•Managed at the school level on a case by case basis to contract as needed.
Mental Health
•Continue to support FSL to current levels @ $190,587.00
•Increase service levels for FSL (in consultation with Principals)
•Expand MH services to include MHCB programming in schools that do not have it.
•Support implementation of GoTo Educator training and High School Mental Health Curriculum Guide throughout the division.
•Charge schools for FSL service above a basic service (i.e. 1⁄2 day per 300 students)
English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL funding will continue to be allocated to school jurisdictions based on assessments conducted by schools and using the WMA of ESL student counts.
Schools are not required to conduct assessments annually. Once a student is assessed as requiring additional language support and included in the WMA enrollment for this grant, five years of ESL funding will be provided.
