o Acknowledge sources - Use Diigo to keep track of the websites you have used and make sure that
your portfolio includes a full and properly set out bibliography.
o Respect copyright - copying published resources could be illegal - use Creative Commonswhere

o Avoid Plagiarism - Any plagiarism discovered will lead to you being disqualified from your
qualification.
o Protect confidentiality - Take particular care when forwarding emails or when using personal
information
Safe Working
o Ensure that hardware, cables, seating etc are positioned correctly
o Ensure that your lighting is appropriate
o Take regular breaks
o Handle and store media correctly - look after your memory sticks and ensure that any CDs you use
do not get scratched.
Eportfolio
o Create an appropriate structure for an eportfolio - Set up a sensible folder structure and make sure
your work is laid out logically
o Collect all the required information, converting files to an appropriate format if necessary - have a
folder for all your raw data and convert files as you go along ( e.g. BMAP to JPEG )
o Authenticate your work - use reliable sources and cross check the information
o Provide a table of contents, using hyperlinks to locate information easily
o Test for size, compatibility and ease of use, making sure that the portfolio conforms to the technical
specifications - You will lose marks if you do not follow the proper format for presenting your work.
