               Businesses are mixed in with houses and a woman who is
               watching the bike shop hoping to rent a bike to an adventurous

               tourist comes over and asks me the time.  I look at my watch

               and tell her it is 7

               a.m. in Alabama so it

               must be 1 p.m. here.

               She looks startled

               and I continue that I

               hadn’t changed my

               watch.  She shakes

               her head and thanks

               me and we chat

               about how beautiful

               the island is.  As I
