The next morning I figure out why I was so cold all night – the
window is open. These Irish people are fresh air worshipers.
We eat French toast again with juice and pay our bill. Ann was
so mixed up from the time we got there that we have a little
problem with the bill. She had told the guy who called her
from the hotel that she had one room with two beds and a bath
for two nights and when we got there she put is in two rooms
for the same price. Well when we stayed the second night and
she moved me, she figured that was a new deal even though we
had originally told her two nights. She wanted paid more for
the second night. We discuss it for quite a while and finally
compromise at a slightly higher rate for the second night.
This is our
earliest
start (9:45
a.m.) and
we head
toward
Lewisburg.
We drive
through the
barren
country
which is
very
beautiful even with the overcast sky. We stop at an
information center and ask about a castle we’d seen from the
road. They tell us how to drive down there. It is private
property but they say it will be OK. We park and walk the last
