Part-time Temporary and On-Call (PN and ON)
Employees in these categories are those who are either assigned to work a regular schedule of
less than 20 hours per week, or may work on a variable basis as needed by the organization.
While they do receive all legally mandated benefits (such as Social Security and workers'
compensation insurance), generally, they are ineligible for NWF's other Employee Benefit
programs.
Work-Study Program (PN)
The work-study program designates eligibility during the academic year (September-May) for
a student to work at an organization and gain practical experience. The hiring department will
pay a percentage of the salary, which varies based on the educational institution, while the
Federal government will pay the remaining portion. Work-study students could receive
summer Financial Aid, if available and is dependent upon the individual's situation. Work-
study students are classified as Temporary employees which means they receive all legally
mandated benefits such as social security and worker's compensation but are not eligible for
any organizational Benefits Program.
Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
Introduction
The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is committed to conducting its business ethically and
in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt
Practices Act (FCPA), the United Kingdom Bribery Act (UKBA) and similar laws in other
countries that prohibit improper payments to obtain a business advantage. This document
describes NWF’s Policy prohibiting bribery and other improper payments in the conduct of
NWF business operations and employee responsibilities for ensuring implementation of the
Policy. Questions about the Policy or its applicability to particular circumstances should be
directed to the General Counsel. This policy was adopted in May 2020.
Policy Overview
NWF strictly prohibits bribery or other improper payments in any of its business operations.
NW
This prohibition applies to all business activities, anywhere in the world, whether involving
government officials or other commercial enterprises. A bribe or other improper payment to
secure a business advantage is never acceptable and can expose individuals and NWF to
possible criminal prosecution, reputational harm or other serious consequences.
This Policy applies to everyone at NWF, including all officers, employees and agents or other
intermediaries acting on NWF’s behalf. Each officer and employee of NWF has a personal
responsibility and obligation to conduct NWF’s business activities ethically and in compliance
with all applicable laws based on the countries wherein NWF does business. Failure to do so
may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
