November Food Bank Update
Pauline Werba, our chairperson and team leader for many years,
has retired from the Food Bank She has been a dedicated and
committed part of the team and steered us through many changes.
We received some very sad and unexpected news a few weeks
ago. One of our younger Trustees and Team Leader, Jules Bond,
had passed away after a very short illness. We shall all miss her
friendship, loyalty and reliability.
During these past few weeks, the Food Bank has been receiving
very generous Harvest donations from Churches, schools, various
groups, clubs and individuals for which we are very grateful. It
never ceases to amaze me, how thoughtful people are.
We have good supplies of baked
beans and pasta at the moment, but
that can soon change! Certain items
always move quickly from the shelves:
Snacks suitable for school
lunch boxes
Tins for warming meals,
and lighter lunches.
Tins of cold meat.
Shampoo
Bars of soap
Thankyou once again for your reliable
support
A collection box for
food donations is situated
in the vestibule
