Good things come in Threes at Wareham URC!

We’ve recently had a lot to celebrate at Wareham URC!

Firstly, David, one of our members, invited
the congregation and his fellow Lunch
Clubbers to a wonderful Birthday Party to
th
celebrate his 60 . Over 20 people turned up
for a real feast with sandwiches, quiches,
sausages and more PLUS TWO sorts of
cake (adorned with candles and sparklers
that nearly ignited Brian’s beard!!) Among
his presents was a voucher to spend on
meals at The Salt Pig, as well as a beautiful
cushion with a cartoon cow – David LOVES
all things bovine! We now realise David is a
bit like the King in that he has TWO

birthdays: although we celebrated on 7 June, his REAL birthday is
in July which he’ll be celebrating away with his mum!!

Secondly, someone else with
some “lovely family stuff going
on” was Felicity, our Elder.
On 8th June her two
granddaughters were baptised
in St. Christpher’s Church,
Winfrith Newburgh where her
son and daughter-in law were
married.
Congratulations, Felicity and
Jason.

Finally, Lauren, a busy Physiotherapist in our congregation, is
celebrating getting a ‘Distinction’ in her Masters–well done, Lauren!
We hope you’re now going for a PhD as that will keep you in the
area for longer!
