Food Bank

The Food bank has been
operating from URC small hall Swanage
for three months now.

Our AGM was held earlier this month, and the move was called
‘a triumph’.

Ian Bandy (FB treasurer) has updated our Risk Assessment for the
teams and home deliverers (in conjunction with our Safeguarding
Policy and URC Safety / Safeguarding for Hall users).

Pauline Werba was presented with flowers and gift vouchers for
Holme Gardens, in appreciation for Pauline’s commitment
in leading us forward during her time as Chairperson of Swanage
Food Bank. There is now a vacancy for a Chairperson.

The number of requests has been lower this Spring, but, as seen
from the figures below, there is still a need.

Our current shortages are:
Small bags of sugar
Treats: Savoury snacks, sweets
Tins of meals are always needed:
eg: Ravioli, Macaroni Cheese, Spaghetti Bolognese
Minced Beef, Chicken in White Sauce, curries
Bolognese sauce in Jars and small cartons

The Food Bank is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday,
donations may be left in the box in the vestibule
